Great Cornish Food Festival
Head Chef Bernie Powling demonstrated on stage at the Great Cornish Food Festival
On Saturday 26th September 2015 Bernie Powling our Head Chef, and Emma Bailey our Pastry Chef, were invited to the Theatre Stage of the Great Cornish Food Festival, to demonstrate their culinary skills.
Bernie pan fried fresh line caught Pollock, coated in black sesame seeds, dried crushed chillies and sea salt, served on a bed of egg noodle, bok choy, red peppers, bean sprouts, and garlic, and drizzled with a sesame seed, sweet chilli, lime juice and soy sauce.
The audience had their forks at the ready and enjoyed the tasting session at the end of the demonstration.
Emma made a three way cheesecake - white chocolate, blackberry, and chocolate rum, which was also devoured by the audience upon completion.
We would like to say a big congratulations to Bernie and Emma for totally rocking the stage as they received several rounds of applause for their demonstration. It was a great opportunity to be invited to take part in the Great Cornish Food Festival, and one that we hope to be involved with again next year.
THE GREAT CORNISH FISH BOOK
In addition to the demonstration the Godolphin Arms features in the Great Cornish Fish Book, with a recipe by Bernie. The book is on sale in The Courtyard Shop on St Michael's Mount and also online at http://shop.stmichaelsmount.co.uk/
